About us

The International Msc Program “Immersive Technologies – Innovation in Education, Training and Game Design” – (IMT) of the Department of Computer Science of the International Hellenic University (IHU) of Greece caters to teachers, researchers and scientists of all specialties with an interest in Immersive Technologies.

The IMT MSc Program covers a unique subject area in Greece, with a high degree of innovation worldwide, focusing on cutting-edge technologies such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality with an emphasis on Education, Training and Games Design.

It is the only international program of IHU in the field of Immersion Technologies that is offered worldwide, providing a Certificate of Pedagogical and Didactic Adequacy
(Government Gazette B 1758 / 11.04.2022).

Flexible attendance

The participation of students that are geographically dispersed worldwide is encouraged due to the flexibility of attendance. As of the academic year 2021-2022, participation ranges from Greece to England and Australia.

Also, postgraduate students come from a variety of background fields of study (such as Foreign Languages, Music, Physical Education, Informatics, Biology, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, etc.), which proves that participation in the IMT program does not require programming skills.

Participation mode

The IMT is structured in a way that meets the modern scientific and technological needs within the constantly evolving socio-economic context. At the same time, distance learning approaches and blended learning are utilized, providing study opportunities regardless of the participant’s geographical location.

In particular, the courses are delivered asynchronously, at a time that serves the individual needs of students, while consulting online meetings are held with the instructors of each course during the semester.

The individualized learning needs and personal management of students’ time are important parameters for the IMT Master’s program, enabling the selection of flexible study options (full-time, part-time, non-program student).

Professional Opportunities - Skills

The international Msc Program ”Immersive Technologies – Innovation in Education, Training and Game Design” opens new professional horizons. Particular emphasis is placed on the development of practical skills and not only on the acquisition of theoretical knowledge.

Finally, postgraduate students have the opportunity to collaborate with international companies in the field of Mixed Reality (xR) technologies through the IMT Network, but also with renowned researchers in Greece and abroad, due to the International team of instructors, such as Open University of England, University of Austria, Open University of the Netherlands, Game Lab of Cologne etc
